supernatural things have always gone bump in the night,lurking in the shadows behind our back and sleeping under our beds. they're the eyes that watch you from the crack of your closet door, and wailing screams that we hear in the middle of the night. sure some may pass it off as the wind, but some of us know better. what we don't know, however, is that these things really do exist. there are few people who know this, and there are many who don't know, and there are those who speculate and work tirelessly to find out but as a whole, the world does not believe it to be true. hello and welcome to ~lifeblood, a supernatural community that focusses on the life of both humans and those supernatural things which coexist (though underwraps) together. as for setting, we will be basing the comm in london, england just to have something different and to stray away from america for a while! taken races britspeak london weather rules full moons

below is a list of frequently asked questions, or maybe some not so frequently asked questions, which we have answered for anyone who might be a little confused about something in the game. however, if there is a question you have which has not been answered, feel free to ask us here!
Q: how old can my vampire be?
A: your vampire may be as old as you want them to be! if that means as old as a dinosaur, then so be it. all the more reason for your vampire to be angsty and hate the world, right?
Q: can my werewolf run in a pack?
A: no! here at ~lifeblood, the werewolves are lone creatures when in their wolf forms, because when they are wolves they lose all touch with reality and with their humanity, thus making them ravenous beasts.
Q: can i get someone to play my slayer's watcher?
A: ABSOLUTELY! it wouldn't be the same without a few watchers, anyway, would it?
Q: how does a vampire bite feel?
A: a vampire bite will feel incredibly painful, no matter what. it would feel much like getting bitten by anything else, but with a draining feeling as they suck the blood from your body.
Q: what does a vampire turn into after it is staked?
A: if you have ever watched buffy the vampire slayer, then you know that vampires turn into a pile of dust and bones after being staked and after much deliberation, that is what we chose to run with for this game!
Q: how does one become a vampire?
A: to become a vampire, or to be sired, one must first be on the brink of death. with only an inch of life left in them, the vampire will rejuvenate their body by giving the dying human a taste of their blood. when they get the taste of blood, it is sweet rather than coppery, and this is what causes the dying human to drink more until the vampire makes them stop. after that , the human dies as the blood fills their bodies, and for lack of better explanation "works its magic," over a period of forty-eight hours until the human rises again, as a new born vampire
Q: what kind of super powers do vampires get?
A: all vampires in the game will get a special dose of super strength and super speed, and that is it!
Q: can vampires enter a house upon free will?
A: nope! a vampire must first be invited into a home, and after that he or she may enter a house at any time they want
Q: what abilities do slayers have, anyway?
A: all slayers have the following: rapid healing (though take note that the more the wounds, the slower the healing), super strength, heightened senses and super reflexes
Q: do vampires have retractable fangs?
A: yes. a vampire can retract their fangs or make their fangs disappear at will
Q: could you elaborate on the malevolent and friendly spirits?
A: malevolent: a malevolent spirit will be playing the role of a demon in this community. why? because frankly, i don't want to bring in religion into the community, as it is too controversial a subject. a demon, or a malevolent spirit, is the spirit of somebody who died a very violent death or of somebody who was a very bad person while they were alive. ie: serial killers, or murders. malevolent spirits are the ones who are normally seen as a black shadow, or a black mass and are typically the ones who possess somebody's body to easier continue to harm others. in place of holy light and the like, the best way of getting rid of a malevolent spirit or a "demon," is to have an exorcism with positive magic.
friendly spirits: friendly spirits are much like casper, only in this world because they wish to see the ones they love continue with their lives, or they simply do not wish to pass on yet. they are seen as white light, or a full bodied apparition. friendly spirits are harmless, and sometimes even a little mischievous in knocking somebody's things over to make themselves better known.
